FAQ
General
Why should I use peach?
Native simulators are slow, expensive, and awkward to automate. peach gives you React Native runtime behavior for iOS and Android in the browser, with a CLI and an agent-friendly bridge that can inspect, act, record, and upload previews without booting Xcode or Android Studio.
It is fast and inexpensive to run anywhere, which makes it useful for CI, previews, shareable demos, and Enterprise embedding in your platform.
Use it for development and automated feedback on the libraries your app uses. Keep native device validation for capabilities outside peach’s supported surface.
Can I use peach for free at work?
Yes. Seed covers individuals and companies under 10 people and under $1M in yearly revenue, including commercial desktop and local use. Companies at or above either limit need Team or Enterprise. Plans explains the company-size bands.
Can I embed the simulator in my product or docs?
Embedding or redistributing the simulator, meaning making it available to anyone outside your licensed team, requires an Enterprise agreement. Talk to us.
Billing
What plans exist?
Seed, Team and Enterprise. Seed is $0 for individuals and qualifying small companies. Team is $20/mo or $200/yr with $20/mo of cloud usage for companies under 100 people and under $10M yearly revenue. Enterprise covers companies at or above either Team limit and includes SSO, audit logs, invoices, admin spending caps and a written contract. Members, agents, API keys and local simulators are unlimited on every plan. Yearly gives you two months free.
How does usage-based billing work?
Cloud actions use available allowances and grants, then prepaid balance. One wallet covers peach and Contrast; each product sells its own subscription. Your first peach top-up is matched dollar for dollar up to $20, once per account and once per card. Prepaid and virtual cards do not earn the match. See Plans for rates and spending caps.
Is there a monthly share quota?
No. There is no separate shares-per-month allowance. The monthly usage view can show how many uploads happened this period. Billing is gated by account balance and spending caps.
What payment methods do you accept?
Everything Stripe handles: major cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Stripe Link. All checkouts and invoices run through Stripe. We never see or store card data.
What currency is everything priced in?
USD. Stripe handles foreign-currency conversion at checkout time.
Do prices include tax / VAT?
Stripe Tax calculates the correct tax for your billing address at checkout. Your invoice shows the breakdown. If your org is tax-exempt, add the exemption in the Stripe Customer Portal.
Accounts
How do shared accounts work?
Prepaid usage belongs to a personal account or a shared account. Plans covers what a shared account owns, how members are counted, and how GitHub org linking works.
Can one user belong to more than one account?
Yes. Billing and usage belong to the account, so a user can work in multiple accounts and charge cloud actions to the account that owns the repo or API key.
Where do I manage billing?
Open Billing, then sign in, or choose Billing & Usage from the account menu. Billing managers can view usage, update caps, manage payment status, and open the Stripe portal. Contrast billing manages the same account.
Usage and retention
Where do I see current usage?
Open the Billing & Usage dialog. You’ll see this period’s preview uploads, account usage, retained preview count, and cap state. Historical invoices live in Stripe.
What happens when I hit a spending cap?
Metered actions reject until the cap is raised or the next billing period opens up budget. The cap is a spending limit, independent of how many shares you create.
What happens to my previews if I cancel?
Uploaded previews stay available for the flat 90-day retention window. Further uploads charge the account balance when you create them.
CI and API keys
How do API keys bill usage?
API keys belong to the account. Uploads made with a key charge peach usage to the account that owns that key.
Do CI uploads count?
Yes. Any cloud upload, whether from desktop, local CLI, or CI, records one peach build/share usage entry on the owning account.
Can I have multiple keys?
Yes. Create one per environment, such as main-ci, preview-pipeline, or
local-laptop, and revoke them independently.
AI and models
Which AI provider do you use?
Automatic PR preview flows use the model configured for the account/flow. The default is tuned for fast PR-diff-driven work. Harder flows can opt into larger models.
Do you train models on my code or prompts?
No. We do not use your code, prompts, uploaded content, or preview data to train models.
Cancel, downgrade, refunds
How do I cancel?
Cancel Team through the Stripe Customer Portal in Billing. The subscription
continues until the end of its paid period. A company at or above either Seed limit
needs an active Team or Enterprise license to keep using the desktop app too.
Stop billable sessions with peach remote close. The portal also manages
payment methods and receipts.
Do you offer refunds?
No pro-rata refunds for normal partial-period use. If something has gone wrong, such as a double charge or mistaken upgrade, email support@contrast.dev and we’ll sort it out.
