package JS is just `export default NativeModules.SplashScreen`; the real package runs from the bundle against the SplashScreen native seam. hide() snap-hides the Peach canvas boot splash (mirrors ios/RNSplashScreen.m removeFromSuperview, no fade); show() returns immediately without re-showing, exactly as the booted-app native path where `waiting` is already false.
